Hi Marcie,

Thank you for the update.

We would expect there to be some internal storage space for the increased amount of trade waste sacks so that staff have somewhere to put the rubbish between collection times.

Businesses avoid presenting any waste on the street in the town centre in the middle of the day as most trade collections in the town centre happen first thing in the morning. The internal storage space would allow them to comply with this expectation.

Kind regards,

Hi Holly,

I requested a refuse strategy from the agent but have not received anything yet. I did visit the site today and met the owner who has told me the following:

  1. The existing use is cafe on ground floor and B&B above. Both units have a collection arrangement with RBC where they present waste bags on the street for collection.
  1. The proposal would intensify the existing use of the B&B from 5 rooms to 15 rooms and they anticipate for the waste arrangements to remain as existing but are open to a new strategy if needed due to increased waste generation.

I hope that sheds some light on the matter.

Kind regards,

Marcie

Hi,

I just wanted to double check if there is a proposed refuse strategy in place for this development that you can send us please? I can’t seem to find one in the documents online, and I can’t identify a bin store on the plans.

Kind regards,
