Ralph / Giles,
Please find attached the updated Reptile Mitigation Strategy
document. The following changes have been made:
1.
The wording has been changed where requested that “Should” be
replaced with “will”
2.
Final para 3.6.16 section on A33 embankment added for clarity
that this area is a separate management area to the Reptile receptor area.
3.
Figs 8 & 9 – Reptile Receptor Area shaded red to identify as
different to A33 embankment.
In addition, all of the figures have been updated to accurately
show the extent of the Reptile Receptor area (as is consistent with the
Landscape and Ecological Management Plan and CEMP: Biodiversity documents).
Kind regards
Damien

Ralph,
I tried calling earlier and left a message.
In response to the comments from the Ecologist, we can change
the document to replace “should” with “will” where requested if this is
necessary.
In terms of the second point, a clear plan for how the eastern
embankment will be managed is provided in the Landscape and Ecological
Management Plan for the outer landscape area (submitted to address the relevant
S106 obligation on 25 January 2016).
The reptile receptor area covers the area to the west / on top
of the A33 embankment. We will provide a plan in the updated document, however
the view from the road is of the existing landscape & planting that is on
the east-facing embankment and not part of the receptor area – see attached
cross-sectional drawing.
On this basis, subject to submission of the revised document,
can we confirm that the Reptile Mitigation Strategy is agreed and condition 30
can be discharged?
I’d also be grateful if we can receive confirmation that the
CEMP: Biodiversity document submitted for Condition 29 is acceptable.
Kind regards
Damien
