Hi Julie,
Please find attached the Ecology report on no. 17
Clevedon Road. No evidence of bats were noted.
Please advise any queries.
Kind Regards
Phil
Hello,
Carried out my visit yesterday and all looks to be acceptable.
Although I still have some concerns with the new window over the garage these
are not so serious as to justify refusing the scheme.
Transport colleagues have asked if the studio is meant to be for
separate residential occupation or as ancillary space to the main house.
We could not agree to a separate dwelling here so if permission is granted we
would include a condition to prevent the separate occupation of the studio.
I understand that the bat survey is completed but you are
waiting for the report. As soon as I have this I will be able to sort out
issuing the planning permission.

Ok. There is no hurry from my side as the 8 week deadline is not
until 31 August, which should be enough time for a bat survey and for you to
consider how my initial concerns could be addressed.
I have committee next week so and sorting stuff to cover for my
holiday from 24 July – 7 August so the site visit could hold until I return and
that would give you more time to discuss other options with your clients. I
could do a drive by in the meantime so I am at least familiar with the look of
the place.

Hi
- i think it may be too late - they are quite private Clients - if you can let me
know what suits I can let them know - access around the rear shouldnt be a
problem and you can be let in by either them or one of their friends
let
me know which day might work thanks

Hello,
I am in the area so I could pop round this afternoon – what’s
left of it – or when would suit your clients.
If I can access the garden I do not need anyone there if that
helps.

Hello,
I am looking after this application as the original case officer
is off work at the moment.
Attached is an email response from our consultant ecologist
requesting that a bat survey is undertaken given the location of the house and
the potential for bats to be present. In summary the local planning
authority cannot put bats at risk so we need the requested information before
we can make a positive decision on a planning application.
I was hoping to go to the site soon so could you let me know if
that can be arranged. I am near the site this pm if that helps.
Having looked at the plans I am concerned for the appearance of
the extension over the garage. The use of dropped eaves on the dormers
gives a cottage style appearance which is at odds with the size of the
extension and the more classical appearance of the main house. Put simply
I think it looks odd?
Happy to discuss options once I have been on site.
