Hi Ralph,

I can confirm that the owners will bring the bins to Whitley Wood Road on bin days as the bin lorry cannot get access to the properties.

I presume that what happens now re the existing properties.

Is this ok ?

Melanie

Please see comments below from the Council’s Transport officer. To resolve the issue you will need to state that waste bins will be brought to the road (Whitley Wood Road) by the owners as the refuse trucks will not be able to access the site due to limited turning area.

Hi Ralph

It would appear that one of the points of refusal made previously has  not been addressed:

Details of the bin storage have been illustrated on the block plan.  Bin storage should comply with Manual for Streets and British Standard 5906: 2005 for Waste Management in Buildings to avoid the stationing of service vehicles on the carriageway for excessive periods.  In addition to this in accordance with DfT document Manual for Streets refuse vehicles should not be required to reverse more than 12m.  Clarification is required to ascertain if a Council refuse vehicle would enter the proposed site.  If a vehicle does enter the site a dedicated turning area would be required.

Reason for Refusal:
