1-3 Osbourne Road Planning application 180475
Dear Ahmed
I tried to phone you this week but have been unable to speak to you and am not at work on Thursdays or Fridays.
I will be submitting a recommendation for refusal for 1-3 Osborne Road on Monday morning 14 May 2018.
There are a number of reasons why the current application would be refused including:
The design and scale are out of keeping with the original house and garages.
It is overbearing in height and depth, especially with regard to the bungalow at 63 Craig avenue.
The amount of daylight is reduced for the neighbouring property at 5 Osborne Road.
The amount of glazing to the rear would be unneighbourly, with the potential for overlooking of Rowe Court to the rear of the properties.
The loss of access to the garages will result in a loss of parking, plans would need to demonstrate 2 off road parking spaces for each dwelling.
The duality of the semi-detached houses would be out of keeping with the remaining houses on Osborne Road.
No Pre-application advice was sought in advance of this planning application submission.
Please let me know by 9am on Monday 14th May if you would prefer to withdraw this application or I will recommend this application as a Refusal. There are too many changes that would be required in order to resolve the main concerns so in this instance amended plans are not an option.
