Hill South Site

Dean
As
discussed, , I can provide the following as an interim measure to allow works
to continue on site until I receive full agreement from both our EHO and
Archaeologist. We can issue further agreement(s) once we are satisfied with
regard to contaminated land and archaeology:
Prior
Approval was given on 11 February 2019 under reference 182171 as copied below.
This was subsequently varied by agreement dated 21 January 2020 (copy attached
for reference).
Paragraph
(viii), of Class B, Part 11, Schedule 2, Article 3 of the GPDO requires the
development (demolition) to be carried out in accordance with the approved
details, except to the extent that the local planning authority otherwise agree
in writing.
In
this instance, and pursuant to para (viii), it is agreed that the
following additional works can be carried out:
To break out and remove the concrete
slab across the entire site using the methodology approved for the
archaeological trial trenching under reference 192041/APC and 200012/APC
and contained in the document ‘Written Scheme of Investigation for
Archaeological Evaluation: Plots E and F’ ref.
WIE114788-103-R-19-3-1-2-WSI, Fourth Issue dated November 2019, received by the
Local Planning Authority on 3 January 2020.
This methodology shall be applied to all
slab removal works and shall include archaeological supervision of all
works as described in the approved WSI.
No works shall be carried out below the
base of the concrete slab, i.e within the underlying ground, without further
written approval of the Local Planning Authority.
This agreement does not affect the controls that
exist under other legislation in respect of management of the Highway, or in
respect of noise, dust or other nuisance. Also, it does not remove or amend any
other controls that exist under 182171/DEM and this email should be read in
conjunction with the original decision and the works implemented accordingly.
This decision is entirely separate from the
requirements of the CIL regulations.
You are advised to take particular care in respect
of groundwater protection. The Environment Agency should be able to advise in
this respect.
Kind
regards
